Reviewer Guidelines

In a single-anonymous (single-blind) peer review system, the identities of reviewers are kept confidential, while the authors’ identities are known to the reviewers. Reviewers play a critical role in maintaining the scientific quality, integrity, and credibility of the journal.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Manuscripts must not be shared, discussed, or used for personal advantage. Reviewers must not contact the authors directly.

Ethical Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

Provide objective, unbiased, and constructive feedback. Avoid personal criticism of the authors. Declare any conflicts of interest (financial, academic, institutional, or personal). Decline the review if they feel unqualified or unable to complete it within the given timeframe. Report suspected ethical concerns, including plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, or unethical research practices.

Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers should assess the manuscript based on the following:

Originality and Novelty – Is the study innovative and scientifically valuable?

Scientific Rigor – Are the methodology, study design, and statistical analyses appropriate and clearly described?

Ethical Compliance – Is ethical approval obtained where required? Is informed consent properly documented?

Clarity and Organization – Is the manuscript well structured and clearly written?

Results and Interpretation – Are conclusions supported by the data?

References – Are relevant and up-to-date references appropriately cited?

Review Report Structure

Reviewers are encouraged to provide:

General Comments – Overall assessment of the manuscript. Specific Comments – Section-wise feedback (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion). Confidential Comments to the Editor (if applicable). Recommendation – Accept / Minor Revision / Major Revision / Reject. Constructive suggestions for improvement are highly encouraged.

Timeliness

Reviews should be completed within the specified deadline (typically 2–3 weeks). If additional time is required, reviewers should inform the editorial office promptly.

Open Access Policy Awareness

As an open access journal, accepted articles are published online with free access to readers worldwide. Reviewers are encouraged to ensure that published content meets high standards of scientific quality and transparency.

Use of Reporting Guidelines

Reviewers may refer to reporting standards provided by the EQUATOR Network (e.g., CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, CARE) when evaluating manuscripts.
