Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
JPUB AI is committed to maintaining high standards of research integrity, publication ethics, editorial independence, transparency, and responsible scholarly communication.
Research Integrity
Authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher are expected to act honestly, transparently, objectively, and responsibly throughout the research and publication process.
Human Participants and Personal Data
Research involving human participants, user studies, personal data, interviews, or potentially identifiable information must comply with applicable ethical and legal requirements.
Where required, authors must obtain appropriate ethics approval and informed consent and must protect participant privacy and confidentiality.
Artificial Intelligence and Responsible AI Research
Research involving artificial intelligence should be conducted and reported responsibly. Where applicable, authors should consider risks relating to bias, fairness, privacy, security, transparency, explainability, safety, misuse, and societal impact.
Claims concerning AI performance, reliability, fairness, or safety should be supported by appropriate evidence and methodology.
Data Integrity and Transparency
Authors must accurately report research data and computational results. Fabrication, falsification, selective reporting, manipulation of results, and misleading presentation of evidence are unacceptable.
Where appropriate, authors should provide information concerning datasets, code, software, computational procedures, and other materials necessary to evaluate or reproduce the research.
Software, Algorithms, and Computational Reproducibility
Authors are encouraged to provide sufficient information about algorithms, models, software, programming environments, datasets, and computational procedures to support reproducibility where feasible.
Proprietary or confidential materials may be restricted where legitimate, but appropriate explanations should be provided.
Authorship and Contributorship
Authorship should reflect substantial contributions to the research or manuscript. All listed authors must approve the final manuscript and accept responsibility for their contributions.
Honorary, guest, or ghost authorship is not acceptable.
Changes to Authorship
Any change in authorship after submission requires an appropriate explanation and agreement from all affected authors. The journal may request written confirmation before approving such changes.
Conflict of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could influence or reasonably appear to influence the research, review, or editorial decision.
Funding and Financial Support
Authors must disclose relevant funding sources and other financial support associated with the research or preparation of the manuscript.
Peer-Review Ethics
JPUB AI uses single-blind peer review. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality, provide objective assessments, disclose conflicts of interest, and avoid using unpublished manuscript information for personal or professional advantage.
Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are based on scholarly and ethical considerations and must remain independent of commercial interests, publication charges, institutional influence, nationality, or other inappropriate considerations.
Plagiarism and Duplicate Publication
Plagiarism, substantial unattributed text reuse, duplicate publication, redundant publication, and inappropriate reuse of previously published material are not acceptable.
Submitted and published manuscripts may be investigated when substantial concerns about originality or publication integrity arise.
Research and Publication Misconduct
Potential misconduct may include fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, inappropriate image manipulation, manipulated peer review, inappropriate authorship, undisclosed conflicts of interest, duplicate publication, or other serious breaches of research or publication ethics.
Concerns will be assessed by the editorial team and appropriate action may be taken based on the nature and evidence of the concern.
Use of Artificial Intelligence in Manuscript Preparation
Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and final content of manuscripts prepared with AI assistance.
AI systems cannot be listed as authors. Substantive use of generative AI or AI-assisted tools should be disclosed where appropriate.
Use of Artificial Intelligence in Peer Review
Reviewers must protect manuscript confidentiality and must not upload confidential manuscripts or unpublished content to publicly accessible AI systems unless expressly authorized and appropriate safeguards are in place.
Corrections
When a published article contains a significant error that affects the accuracy or interpretation of the work, the journal may publish an appropriate correction or other post-publication notice.
Retractions
A published article may be retracted when there is reliable evidence of serious research or publication misconduct, major unreliability of findings, substantial ethical violations, duplicate publication, or other circumstances that make the published record materially unreliable.
Expressions of Concern
Where serious concerns exist but an investigation cannot yet be completed, the journal may publish an Expression of Concern to alert readers while the matter is being assessed.
Post-Publication Concerns
Readers and researchers may communicate concerns regarding published articles to the editorial office. Concerns should be supported by specific information or evidence where possible.
Complaints and Appeals
The journal provides a mechanism for authors and other relevant parties to raise reasonable complaints or appeals concerning editorial and publication processes. Complaints will be considered objectively and confidentially where appropriate.
Production and Technical Support
Following acceptance, authors may request optional Production and Technical Support for USD 50 per manuscript for assistance with final manuscript preparation, production-related technical checks, or file preparation.
This service is entirely optional and is not a condition of acceptance or publication. Payment or use of this service does not influence peer review, editorial assessment, acceptance, or publication decisions.

JPUB AI's publication-ethics practices are informed by internationally recognized principles and guidance, including:
- COPE Core Practices
