Author Guidelines

JPUB AI welcomes original and high-quality research in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Robotics, Intelligent Systems, and emerging computational technologies. The journal accepts theoretical, methodological, experimental, applied, and interdisciplinary research relevant to its aims and scope.

Article Types

The journal considers Research Articles, Review Articles, Brief Communications, Technical Reports, Case Studies, Perspectives, Commentaries, and other scholarly contributions appropriate to the journal's scope.

Free Format Submission

JPUB AI follows a free-format initial submission policy. Authors are not required to use a mandatory journal template, specific typesetting format, LaTeX template, or journal-specific reference style at the initial submission stage.

Manuscripts should nevertheless be clearly organized and consistently formatted. Authors should provide sufficient information for editors and reviewers to understand, evaluate, and reproduce the reported work where applicable.

Recommended Manuscript Structure

Research Articles should normally include, as applicable:

  • Title
  • Author Information and Affiliations
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Materials, Methods, or Computational Methodology
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Data and Code Availability Statement
  • Funding Information
  • Author Contributions
  • Conflict of Interest Statement
  • Ethical Statement, where applicable
  • References

The structure may be adapted according to the nature of the manuscript.

Research Scope and Scholarly Quality

Submissions should present a clear research question, appropriate methodology, scientifically or technically sound analysis, and conclusions supported by the reported evidence. Manuscripts should make a meaningful contribution to AI, machine learning, data science, robotics, intelligent systems, or related computational fields.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Research

For AI and machine-learning studies, authors should provide sufficient information about datasets, preprocessing, model architecture, training procedures, validation methods, evaluation metrics, baseline or comparison methods, and relevant hyperparameters to allow meaningful assessment of the work.

Where applicable, authors should discuss limitations, potential sources of bias, uncertainty, generalizability, robustness, and the appropriate interpretation of model performance.

Data Science and Computational Research

Authors should clearly describe data sources, data collection or selection procedures, preprocessing, analytical methods, statistical methods, computational environments, and relevant software or tools.

Where data cannot be publicly shared because of privacy, confidentiality, licensing, proprietary restrictions, or other legitimate reasons, authors should provide an appropriate explanation and, where possible, describe how qualified researchers may obtain access.

Software, Code, and Computational Reproducibility

Where software, source code, algorithms, models, or computational workflows materially contribute to the research, authors are encouraged to make them available through an appropriate repository or other accessible mechanism.

Authors should identify relevant software, programming languages, libraries, frameworks, and computational environments where these details are necessary to understand or reproduce the work.

Use of Artificial Intelligence in Manuscript Preparation

Authors should disclose substantive use of generative AI or AI-assisted tools in manuscript preparation when such use contributes to the submitted work. AI tools must not be listed as authors.

Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, citations, and final content of the manuscript, including content generated or assisted by AI tools.

Human Participants and Personal Data

Research involving human participants, human data, personal information, user studies, interviews, or other potentially identifiable information must comply with applicable ethical requirements.

Where required, authors should provide information concerning ethics committee or institutional review approval, informed consent, privacy protection, and other relevant safeguards.

Robotics and Intelligent Systems Research

Studies involving robots, autonomous systems, human-robot interaction, intelligent agents, or systems operating in real-world environments should describe relevant experimental conditions, safety considerations, evaluation procedures, and limitations where applicable.

Research Involving Animals

Research involving animals must comply with applicable institutional and national ethical requirements. Appropriate approval and animal-welfare information should be provided where applicable.

Research Safety and Responsible AI

Authors should identify significant safety, security, privacy, fairness, bias, misuse, or societal risks associated with the research where relevant. Claims concerning responsible or trustworthy AI should be supported by appropriate methods and evidence.

Authorship and Contributions

Authorship should be limited to individuals who made substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of the work and who participated in drafting or critically revising the manuscript and approved the final version.

All authors should approve the submitted manuscript and agree to be accountable for the work.

Changes to Authorship

Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors after submission must be supported by an explanation and agreement from all affected authors. The journal may require written confirmation before approving an authorship change.

ORCID

Authors are encouraged to provide ORCID iDs to support accurate author identification and attribution of scholarly work.

Originality and Exclusive Submission

Manuscripts must be original and must not have been published previously or be under consideration by another journal at the same time. Any substantial overlap with previously published or submitted work must be disclosed to the editorial office.

Funding

Authors should disclose all financial support, grants, institutional support, or other funding that contributed to the research or manuscript preparation.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, personal, institutional, or other relationships that could reasonably influence or appear to influence the research or its interpretation.

References

Authors should cite relevant and reliable scholarly sources accurately. A numbered citation system is preferred, but a specific journal reference format is not mandatory at initial submission.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that references are complete, accurate, and appropriately support the statements for which they are cited.

Peer Review

JPUB AI uses a single-blind peer-review process. Reviewers remain anonymous to authors, while reviewers are informed of the authors' identities.

Reviewer Suggestions

Authors may suggest qualified reviewers with relevant subject expertise. Suggested reviewers should have no conflict of interest with the authors or manuscript. The editorial team is not obligated to use suggested reviewers.

Plagiarism and Research Integrity

Submitted manuscripts may be checked for plagiarism, substantial text reuse, duplicate publication, manipulated content, or other research-integrity concerns.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript contains no fabricated or falsified data, inappropriate image manipulation, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or other forms of research misconduct.

Copyright and Open Access

Articles published by JPUB AI are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Authors retain copyright subject to the applicable publication agreement.

Proofs

After acceptance and production, authors may be asked to review the final proof for factual, typographical, and presentation errors. Proof corrections should be returned within the period specified by the editorial office.

Production and Technical Support

Following acceptance, authors who require assistance with final manuscript preparation, production-related technical checks, or file preparation may request optional Production and Technical Support for USD 50 per manuscript.

This service is entirely optional and is not a condition of acceptance or publication. Authors who prepare their own final files do not need to pay this charge. Payment or use of this service has no influence on peer review, editorial assessment, acceptance, or publication decisions.

Publication Ethics

Authors are expected to comply with the journal's Ethical Principles and Publication Policy. Research involving human participants, personal data, animals, or potentially sensitive AI applications must comply with applicable ethical and legal requirements.
